Post by Kerin Oracle Fri Nov 27, 2015 2:14 pm

It was afternoon in Limbo and Kerin Oracle was sat in the manor gardens, watching her two children play. So far, they were oblivious to the fact their second mother had left them all, but Kerin was all too aware of it all. She hid the pain in the face of her children, she had to stay strong, but any one who knew her well enough would figure it out soon enough. Any one able to sense energies would feel that Belladonna was no longer amongst them. When her wife's severed arm was brought to her, Kerin had set it alight, turning it to ash in her rage and pain.

The second time of being married and she had lost the one she was married to once again. Her hands shook as she lifted a tea cup to her lips, the wind sending her loose hair flying around her head. Closing her eyes as she took a sip of the rose oolong tea, flashes of memories hit her mind as would be expected. Questions which would never be answered ran through her brain, tormenting her. Why? What had she done? What could she have done to make her wife stay? Had she really been that bad of a wife that the one she had loved had wanted to kill her? She had felt the blade against her neck as she had slept, she was far from ignorant.

Looking back on the past, she remembered the day she had lost her husband, the words her older sister spoke. "Promise me, that no matter what pain you suffer, you will never give up on love." Those words kept her going even now. She couldn't give up, she had her children, she had her clan, Corame had never faultered in his loyalty to her. Placing the tea cup on the table in front of her, Kerin's orange eyes watched the flowers and roses sway too and fro in the wind that kept catching her hair.

These gardens were available for everyone in the clan to come, if any one had questions for the Queen, or simply wanted to spend time with the royals, they would more often than not, find them in the gardens, catching the sun or the fresh air that came with the outdoors. In fact, she was highly expecting people to come with questions, Akane, Selstei, Emiko and Bella had all gone, where, she did not know and doubted she ever would. Much like those whom were missing pressumed dead from the calamity, she had lost hope of them ever coming back to her.

The grieving Queen (open to any one) Empty Re: The grieving Queen (open to any one)

Kim was walking slowly down the corridors of the manor that the royals lived, the place was feeling odd, it was like the building aura had changed. She did not know why for sure as she slowly walked towards the garden where the pups and usually at least one of the queens would be at this time. She had separated from Corame as he went to do his own thing, seemed troubled himself as she reached the door, seeing Kerin's backside and watched the young pups playing. She smiled gently, but then noticed a slightly saddened look to Kerin's figure and posture.

She slowly walked out, her bare feet made no noise as she came out in a dirt and grass stained sundress, as she was working in the gardens before Corame wanted to see Kerin. She walked up to her and saw a type of sadness and confliction to her face, Wondering what was wrong, what made her sad? She then did her usual thing and climbed into her lap partially looking into her eyes, their faces inches from each other and then put her hands around her neck and hugged her, telling her that she will be fine, that things will get better.

She also did it this way to tell her that she will be there for Kerin, much like Corame is, she loved her like family, like a aunt or something similar and wanted to see her smile, wanted to see her happy. She was light and it made it easier not to hurt Kerin when she was on her, her small red tails, both of them swayed as she was not a kitsune like the rest, but a Kitsu-Mata. She had the features of a kitsune, but was different and unique as well as she closed her eyes and took in Kerin's scent, her warmth, and gentle aura, despite everything she never changed, though her heart was breaking, she did everything to hide this pain, whatever it was

The grieving Queen (open to any one) Empty Re: The grieving Queen (open to any one)

Post by KaitoOracle Mon Nov 30, 2015 11:19 am

Kaito slowly shambled into the gardens, hands clutched to chest. His eyes were distant as he walked slowly towards the sitting queen. It couldn't be true, these gruesome thoughts he held. Coming to Kerin's side his mind unconsciously took note of Kim's presence. Shakily his gaze rose to stare into the queen's eyes. Something there, something hidden, more had happened then he knew. A thought tickling the back of his mind then. Another presence was absent from the manor than he had originally noticed, Belladonna.

This morning Kaito had searched high and low for Selstei, trying to uncover her abrupt disappearance. He had expected her to come to the manor last night, but she never showed. That wasn't too strange in itself. He figured she had had a trying day in the medical center and went straight home to unwind. When he awoke he went to her the house was vacant. He sought her in the medical center, in the little cafe they liked, the shrine... No matter where he went she was not to be found. He convinced himself that she must have woke earlier and went to him and thus he returned to the manor. That's when he noticed it, heading back towards his room. How he didn't notice it first thing he would always question. A slight resonance feeling led him to look on the ground nestled in the corner of the hallway. To some it would be just a strange orange orb that glowed faintly set on a simple silver chain. To Kaito it was source of fear, sorrow, and shock.

That necklace was now clutched tightly in his hands. Shakily looking into the eyes of the strongest woman he knew his hands began to loosen, moving away from his chest to show the starball necklace to her. A flood of tears where barely held at bay by the numbness of shock. "M...mom?" His words choked in his throat as he looked to her for some type of answer. Some explanation to what was happening beyond that dark sickening fear clawing away at the back of his mind. Two people where missing and though his mind refused to admit it, he clutched a broken necklace with blood dried on the silver links. The very necklace he gave to Selstei upon his return all that time ago.

The grieving Queen (open to any one) Empty Re: The grieving Queen (open to any one)

Post by Corame Oracle Mon Nov 30, 2015 2:55 pm

Another long day lay ahead of the clan. Another day of pain and lose that no one could escape. Corame Oracle was going about his business, putting some things together around the manor, trying to do something constructive. The horror on Kerin's face when she had nearly caved his door in to wake him up, it made his stomach wrench to think about, to memorise. Seeing them like that, Selstei was the first that they found, so close to the safety of her lover's room, yet so far. Akane was the next one they had found, she must have been out for a stroll, just like Emiko's sleep walking.

He couldn't get the horror out of his mind, even the oni hadn't left their victims in such a state. Gripping the counter top in the kitchen, Corame's dark blue eyes flashed with thunder as the anger of the betrayal set in. With a burst of rage he threw everything off the counter, sending them crashing to the floor. Cups, plates, cutlery, food, it didn't matter, at this point, he was furious. He'd trusted Bella, he'd let her into the manor against his better judgement, allowed her to love Kerin, when this whole time he had been the one to stand by Kerin's side, the one who had always loved her. He felt like such a fool.

Taking in a deep breath as he looked around, trying to calm himself, he picked things up and cleaned up, he was so glad that Kim hadn't seen that display, he wasn't known as the destructive one or the angry one, it would have frightened the poor Kitsu-mata. Having cleaned everything up, he took out some unbroken plates and a clean tray, placing numerous fruits and cakes upon them. With a fresh pot of rose oolong tea and some fruit juice, he placed them on a trolley.

Wheeling it into the hallway and through to the gardens, his eyes were streaming with tears, he couldn't help it, couldn't stop those tears from falling and it only got worse when he saw Kaito in so much pain. Seeing the starball necklace took him by surprise, he didn't think that had belonged to Selstei. Placing everything from the trolley onto the table before sitting down next to Kerin who seemed to have Kim on her lap.

Placing a hand on Kerin's shoulder, he squeezed it ever so slightly, if it all felt like some cruel nightmare to him, he could only imagine the pain and horror Kerin was going through right now. The look on her face felt a knife to his heart and his ears flattened all the way down. How much suffering must their clan go through before Inari will bless them with true peace? It just wasn't fair in the least. Corame couldn't even fight to defend them like he had once.

Looking up to Kaito, his ears still flattened back, an apologetic and pained expression took over his features, that pup was like a son to him and knew he was Kerin's adoptive son, this wasn't going to be easy in the least.

The grieving Queen (open to any one) Empty Re: The grieving Queen (open to any one)

Post by Taiki Oracle Fri Dec 11, 2015 9:17 pm

The day passing by for the clan, the atmosphere is that of depression and sadness. Inside the manor where the garden is found, Taiki along with his sister are playing around as usual oblivious to almost everything around them. Even not understanding what is happening the young pup felt that something was different inside. The morning was different as he did not see his second mother around, this made him worry a bit but payed no mind to that as she might be off for her matters to attend.

As time went on, the young pup would look to notice Kim on her mother's lap. He would wave at them but was left unnoticed as they were hugging each other. This made him walk a bit closer to them due to his curiosity. Staying at a good distance behind a bush he would notice Big brother Kaito enter the garden, Taiki wanted to wave and greet his brother like he always does but he sees Kaito's desperation which made Taiki feel a little uneasy and remained hidden so that he could listen in. As he listens, he feels a bit frustrated as he could not understand what is being said and then notices Uncle Corame entering with the trolley for tea.

The young pup flattened his ears when he sees his Uncle's eyes streaming with tears. He has never seen him like this before and wanted to do something about that. Unable to standby any longer, Taiki would get up and walk towards them. As he gets close he gets closer to Corame and then gives him a hug without even thinking as it pains the pup to see him like this who was always treated him like a son more than a nephew.

The grieving Queen (open to any one) Empty Re: The grieving Queen (open to any one)

Two that would almost never be seen together, sat next to each other as the filled their mouths with the sweet drink that the celestial kitsune had made a long while before her death. Tamotsu, one who almost never drank took huge glugs of the booze, trying to forget that he had failed in his duties as Emiko's protector. Ayumu on the other hand, had only dreamed of getting his hands on this booze, but thought it better to share with a grieving fellow. He too had lost someone important, someone he thought would be able to take his position in no time so that he could put his use out into the field of battle rather than in the back lines.

"Tamotsu, you didn't know such an occurance would befall the clan. It's far from you're fault." Placing arm around the Tengu, Ayumu looked around to see the others grieving as well. Why was he the only one not welling up with despair? Could it be that he had no true feeling for his student? Or was it something else that he couldn't explain? Either way, he knew he had to console them in one way or another. Taking his time with each person, he attempted his best to show his sympathy, but it was hard for him.

Tamotsu on the other hand, had already gotten up and left, his body staggering as he made his way towards the temple, doors slamming with a surplus of force behind him. Wailing out as the tears dripped down his face, Tamotsu felt nothing but guilt for the loss of Emiko. His cries were muffled inside the temple, but still found their way slipping out through the cracks of the door, thus starting the beginning of his depressive state.

The grieving Queen (open to any one) Empty Re: The grieving Queen (open to any one)

Post by Kerin Oracle Thu Jan 07, 2016 12:19 pm

Kerin hadn't been able to wrap her mind around why her wife would have done such a terrible thing. She had thought they were happy, all of the pain inside, the losses both past and present were haunting her mind. She found herself trembling from the overload of emotions and questioned building inside her. Feeling Kim sit on her lap, she wrapped her arms around the young kitsu-mata. Even that wasn't enough to force the tears out.

Feeling Kaito's presence approaching, she could feel the fear and pain, the denial, her puffy red eyes looked up the the young fire kitsune she had adopted. When he spoke, holding the necklace, that's when her tears came bursting out. the feel of Corame's hand on her shoulder was a little comfort, but she couldn't stop the tears rushing out. This was the first time any one would have seen her cry since she had been grieving for her older sister. She just wanted to wake up from this terrible nightmare to find her wife sound asleep next to her, but she knew this was no dream.

It was hard to breathe through this pain, but she was trying to stay strong. "I'm so sorry, I should have seen this coming, I failed you all." She sobbed heavily, any King or Queen would feel the same guilt at being unable to protect their clan from such a thing. She could feel the pain radiating from all over Luvona, especially from the temple and her heart was shattering. Had the clan not suffered enough? Why was all of this happening. Still holding Kim with one arm, she pulled Kaito into a hug, tears streaming down her unusually pale cheeks, the redness of the irritation of crying being a large contrast to her skin.

"The clan has... has suffered a great loss. Emiko, Selstei, they were... " She tried to explain, her voice choking in the back of her throat. She didn't want to say it, didn't want to believe it, but it was all so vividly true. "Bella she.... she killed them, o-only she would.. be capable of that damage." The streams of tears turned into waterfalls. The words of so many dead clan members playing on loop in her head. She felt as though she had been cursed to live through so much pain. So many friends were gone, so much family lost.

The grieving Queen (open to any one) Empty Re: The grieving Queen (open to any one)

Post by Kim Oracle Fri Jan 15, 2016 1:05 am

The air felt more and more cold, emotionless, and tense as the feelings were slowly releasing, she noticed Kaito as he entered the room, holding a necklace in his hand. She did not really recognize it the same way that he or Kerin would notice, just as she heard the footsteps of Corame, her adopted father and would then see the heartache in his eyes, the sight of betrayal and pain, like he felt at fault. He knew something about what was going on that she did not and because of this piece of information, he felt worse about the whole thing than most of the others besides Kerin.

She did not know what she would say if she obviously could, what action she would take as she felt the warm, yet weak embrace of Kerin, her arms wrapped around her and held her even closer than what she did to her to begin with. She then put her hand on the same one from Corame that touched Kerin, trying to help him feel better as well, she knew this was hard for everyone, made her sad as tears escaped her eyes which were filled with both pain and curiosity. She did not know what was happening other than people was missing, she did not see Selestie, Belladonna, Emiko.. this made her worry now, but her answer was soon given when Kerin finally tried to speak.

Her voice sounding broken as she tried to hold her words in as she spoke, speaking how everyone that she was noticing was missing, was killed.. but not by a enemy, but instead by the woman that Kerin called her wife, the person that she felt close too. This made her even more upset as she waited for Kaito to get close when he was directed into a hug by Kerin, her one arm removing from her body and instead put around Kaito. Once he was in her arms, Kim would take the hand that was on Corame's hand and leaned in to hug him as well, the pain was almost too much for her, making her think of things in her own past. She was thinking how she was partially rejected by Bella at first, how she would follow the older lady when Corame went to visit Kerin, even though it most of the time annoyed Bella and made her snap a few times.

But this was something that would forever be known only as the past at this point, it made her wish that things could go back, why did Bella have to kill the people she known as family, the people that made her happy and would play with her, she realized she did not see Akane, making her cry more now, thinking the worst with that, knowing that the girl would always come and play with her when she was not working in the garden, sometimes even helped her in the garden, even when Corame would not cause he had his own duties as well.

Her tears were silent, but the fell down on the loose layers of Kerin and Kaito's kimono, spots staining the colourful articles, but she did not think much about that, she only thought about the fact that her family was scared, they were sad, and they were angry, this was almost too much for her and that made her feel bad as well as they would feel worse as they knew them a lot longer than what she did, as she was only their two years and for most of the first year, she only even saw Selestie, COrame, and the queens as she was too scared and shy.
